Baptist general convention of Virginia

Baptist General Convention of Virginia (BGCVA) was established in 1899 to support education at Virginia Union University and its School of Theology. Over the years the mission has expanded to unite and equip churches, ministries, associations, and constituents to do holistic ministry. With a membership of 1,000 African American churches and 29 Associations.  BGCVA, provides leadership training for church leaders (clergy and lay) via regional and statewide conferences and training events.  BGCVA partners with many community and state organizations to provide resources in and for local congregations.
